Twas a valiant effort and were it not for Bobrovsky, the game would have been much closer.

And, as one poster in the GDT wanted to emulate Marc Bergevin's fashion sense ... you should know what your wardrobe is capable of unleashing ...

Julien must be happy with the performance even if they lost.

Of course, you already know how Sean Campbell and Mitch Gallo are going to spin it on TSN690:

These are the same broadcasters who are going to show an unusual amount of gratitude to their listenership during the holidays ...

But, once the holidays are over, they will quickly revert to their good old, holier-than-thou condescending attitudes ...

The listeners who were so valued only a week earlier, became "crazies" as soon as they call the post-game show following a Habs loss. And all of their broadcasters use the term, oh so affectionately throughout the day that follows a post-game show.

There are exceptions of course. Why, one Sheed36 from HF, gets preferential treatment. Must be on account of all those audio files he puts up on their behalf, throughout the week on HF ...

So, back to the game. At least the Habs did it right this time. Tank back on.

Yahoo no loser points tonight.

Cannot stand Tankers... we have less than a 10 percent chance of landing Dahlin... want to see our young players get some positive vibes!

You need one to have the other. If we aren't out of it and losing like we are, the coach wouldn't put young guys in, he'd stick with his vets.

Sure we likely won't get Dahlin but getting the highest pick possible should be the objective right now.

Shots on goal 40 to 25 for Montreal.
Final score 5-2 Columbus.

It was a totally different game offensively and defensively when Seth Jones went down. That explains the large shot difference.

Shots were 20 - 16 Columbus after 2., with Columbus up 3 -1, Jones with 2 goals.

Shots were 24 - 5 in the 3rd period in favor of Montreal after Jones went down.

Also, Lindgren wasn't strong. But Seth Jones looks like an MVP candidate.

Is Lernout supposed to learn how to defend from playing with Benn???

The only tips he will receive is how to maintain his beard, instead of a place in the NHL.

If the plan wasn't to play Reilly 22 minutes a night, I'd put Lernout with Petry and Rielly with Benn.

Montreal played a really strong 3rd period. They really suck at shooting though & can't get shots off in the slot.

We have guys who go there: the 2 Shaws, Lehkonen, Gallagher, Carr, D'lo etc but they just to never get a shot off. It's blocked, they whiff, they miss the net, it's frustrating to watch.

DLR's shit poor D helped Columbus score 2 goals. I mean on the last one he just gives the puck away after Chucky & Lernout played a 2 on 2 way better than expected.

Our p.k. is terrible.

Lindgren is not playing well & Bernout is a disaster.

This team man...
