Toronto doesnt have a second round pick

I would love for Toronto to trade their first and get two early to mid- second round picks.

Select Slava Trukhno

Martin Hanzal ( i think he'll be available in the 2nd Round )

Or we could just trade to get first overall and get you know who even though it will probably never happen :banghead:

Excellent job! :handclap:

But I hope the habs won't do the mistake to draft Oskars Bartulis... I really don't see him making it to the NHL, he isn't really anything special.

Vancouver with Kindl, Atlanta with Setoguchi ... I'd have to say I'd be happy with the results for my favourite teams there. But I'd be amazed if Ryan goes ahead of Brule, and I think Smolenak is late first round material

Leafs could give Nolan, 1st rounder 05, 1st rounder 06 and Wellwood for 1st overall? Sound ok?

A Major win for the LEafs ( Us ), i'd do it in a heart beat. Unfortunately wont happen...

I dont even think Colaiacovo, Steen, Stajan, 1st in 05 will do it. We'll have to overpay big big time...

If the 1st overall team was Washington or Pittsburgh they might do it because Nolan would help out younger guys and Welly could make the Pens or Caps. 2 first round TML picks would seem pretty reasonable considering they are going to lose lots of older players and might not make the playoofs with all the rookies coming from S.Johns.

Remember the overpaying by Philladelphia to get Lindros. It will something similar or along the lines of that...

The Caps will not trade for Nolan. The Caps will draft Crosby because he meets one of their 2 remaining major needs and would just be too good to pass up. The only scenario I could see the Caps passing on Crosby would be a Malkin/Whitney/Stone offer. I couldn't see the Pens doing that.

Another note...The Caps own Ottawa's 2nd from the Bondra deal. I'd love to get Cogliano with it! The Caps would not pass Levasseur in the 2nd Round. I would also see them going Bertram or Kohn before Smolenak. With Ovechkin and Semin, they are pretty good at LW.
