I saw in the Portland tribune a write- up about Eric Gryba a 16 year old d-man who left Winterhawk camp to keep his options open. The coached stated that he was one of their better d - players. Where is this kid from? Any info?

He's from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I believe he's listed as 6'3" 195lbs currently. He was the #23 in the 2003 bantam draft, which was considered to be a surprise high pick, well above his rating (around 100 or so). He's considered a stay at home type of Dman, who moves the puck well, and has some offense abilities as well. Some scouts consider him to have a major upside, with the potential to be a very solid WHL Dman.
