Groups E and F

Can someone explain to me how that works? Do the 6 teams play each other or ... and then the top 2 make it to the medal round?

The 1sts meet the 4th of other group, and the 2nds 3rd of other group.

1sts meet then 2nd of other group if both are still playing, if not then the winner just replaces the one.

As USA (4th/F) won Czechs (1st/E) they meet Sweden (2nd/F) in semi-finals.

Today there is matches Canada-Finland and Slovakia-Switzerland, winners will play together in semi-finals.

Same system as in Olympics has used in 1998 and 2002 for example.
