Austria will be very motivated against their arch rival, but Switzerland win this game in the end with 4:2.

I'm out of date when it comes to the Swiss team, is Pluss busy or did he retire? Also, why is Andrighetto on the 3rd line instead of the 2nd(or 1st alongside Niedrreiter)?

Yeah, Plüss retired last fall, he's 40 now. Mathias Seger, another Swiss legend, retired last week. We'll see which line is the 2nd and which is the third line. It makes sense to split the two NHL-guys, though.

Jonas Siegenthaler is not registered and will not play. Genazzi plays as 7th D.

As expected, Fischer will go with 7+12. Still hopes for Josi. And Sbisa's back playing too. (Not sure he would commit if called though). Meier one game off elemination in the POs.

Expecting a close game as usual.

Sbisa already said no. Fiala, Meier or Josi would come.

Austria looks good indeed. Compact and agressiv.

This will be tough for Switzerland. They have to find their speed.

Very agressive forechecking by Austria, but this gave Switzerland a few chances to skate through the neutral zone at full speed and take some good shots.

I'd say the result is deserved, but Austria had their moments. And what a play by Corvi.

Not an easy game so far for the swiss, but a well deserved goal. Andrighetto with a few great moves.

Overall, Corvi had a very good period. Impressive how much he progressed in the last two years. Great puckhandling and great vision.

Good intensity on both sides.

And nice work down low by the Swiss before the goal. Typical Corvi, to make the unexpected play to Nino.

Genoni looks calm and focused. As mentioned Kukan a bit shaky.

Nah, puck was gone, would have been a interefernce-penalty anyway. No need to go for a hit there.

I wouldn't call it stupid, it's normal to go for a hit in this position. But his timing was awful.

I agree. It looks ugly but unintenional. Misses the contact with his upperbody and so the knee contact is logical.

Of course a major is the right call.

I hope Strong is ok, but it doesn't look good at all.
