Gusev is in. Correct lines for Russia should be:

    Gusev - Datsyuk - Kaprizov
    2nd line - no changes
    Dadonov - Andronov - Mikheyev
    4th line - no changes

    Khafizullin(injury) replaced by Bereglazov.

With Shipachev this team would be way stronger, but yeah, he's out of coach's favor now...

    Russia should win easily, 4-0.

Should be a 1 goal game, don't think it's going to OT though.

Not the Swiss. Even with the Nashville additions they would not be better on paper. The outcome of the actual game can be anything though.

Yeah, Switzerland also has not a history beating Russia (in comparison to CZE, CAN, SWE, etc.). Last two games were pretty clear, last close game was 2009, last win 2000. It's probably something like 60-40 for Russia. Or even more.

But Switzerland has a good team and like to play forward and we know that Russia sometimes can loose their defensive stability. Could be a nice offenisve minded game with a lot of scoring chances.

An upset is quite possible, but we don't have the better team. Russia was, is, and will always be the favourites in this matchup.

A few years ago, everyone expected a blowout so we have gone quite a distance over the last decade especially regarding to depth and high-end forwards.
Hoping for points today, but it needs a huge effort.

I think Russia should take this, but it won't be too easy in my opinion. I say a win in regulation by a 1 or 2 goal margin, something like 4-2 Russia.

Doesn't Russia have more NHLers than Switzerland?

Dadonov, Buchnevich, Zaitsev - that's it... I mean, solid NHLers and not fringe ones like Mamin or Soshnikov. Of course, we have Dats, who's still as good as any NHLer, and Gusev, who could probably be a star in the NHL as well.

How is Anisimov not an NHLer?

Yeah, of course, forgot about him, he's a good NHLer for sure.

Mamin replaced Mikheyev on the third line for the pre-game skate.

Gusev even at 50% is probably the best player on the ice.

It's what Gusev is able to do.
