Frank Brimsek, best American goalie ever.

He may well be but the way his and Tiny Thompson's careers overlapped and what they both accomplished makes it tough to pick one over the other. I always thought that they should retire #1 for both of them.

But to not have The Chief in the top 5 is a crime.

The Dit Clapper case:

Only Bruin to play on 3 Cup winning Boston teams

Only Bruin in history to be an all-star at forward (2nd team twice) and D (1st team 3 times, 2nd team once)

Only player/coach in Bruins history, also coached for 4 season

First player in NHL history to play 20 seasons

One of the "old-time hockey" guys mentioned in Slapshot

Voted Chief, but there's still some gems out there...

To be honest, it's probably getting pretty close to Bergeron time... By the time he's finished he'll be one of the top 5, in my humble opinion...
