Both this one and the previous one with Maruk can be found in post #737.
There are so many photos in this thread that it is almost impossible to keep track of all the ones that have been posted. I have also uploaded photos previously posted in here.

In any case, it never hurts to see some of these again. :thumbu:

Sorry about that RGO. I've noticed some of mine have been duplicated as well. You're right about there being so many photos that it's hard to keep track of what's already been posted previously.

^^^ Yeah, thanks guys. There are so many & almost all worthy of study, but yes, so many that it seems at times a blurrrrrrrr......... though not complaining, keep em coming...Honestly I dont recall seeing that photo above before but obviously I did, one of so many great shots... Giacomin with the mask on, no names on the backs of the jerseys.... Boston beating a couple of serious talents there. We sometimes forget just how good, how dominating the Bruins were and could be & that photo really brings it home.

1961/62 - Pat Stapleton of Boston during his rookie season in action against Dave Keon of Toronto.

Great shot, love the old jerseys, uni's.... Pats' ankle guards, gloves & wooden sticks.... but say.... does this photo not look weird or what?... they both look like cutouts, like its been photoshopped... their images cutout & dropped into that background... doesnt look right... dunno.... maybe its just me?.... could be a trick of the lighting, flash bulbs as Stapletons shadow on the boards seems accurate... wonderful photo none the less...

It is a great shot, the colors are fantastic, but the guys do look like cutouts. If it wasn't for the shadows you'd have to wonder! Looks like there was some sort of direct lighting behind them which gives that slight halo effect

I tend to agree with both of you regarding the oddity of the picture. The shadows on the boards made it seem legit so I chalked it up to the lighting from a flash when the picture was taken.

^^^ Great shot there as well DB. Love the tan gloves Beliveau & the Habs still using, Johnny's mismatched Trapper & much used Blocker... shadows of the lighting. Like their stepping into the spotlight. Gives you a real good view, perspective & feel for just how major a force was Jean Beliveau. Horton straining to try & contain him, Bower forced to be using his toe to maybe hopefully get a piece of it.

Gretzky-era Kings practice jerseys are amazing.

I'm guessing Gretz isn't doing chest compressions on Tikk-Tock

Wayne sporting anything other than a "C" is always amusing.

Rink getting prepped for first-ever NHL game in Las Vegas. Rangers vs. Kings, 9/27/91. And you know Gretzky scored.

1971/72 - Dave Balon of Vancouver and Craig Patrick of California

Geez, forgotten about Dave Balon. Won 2 Cup with Montreal in 65 & 66, 4 X All Star, put up a lot of points with the Rangers. Not spectacular but an interesting player to watch, fairly gritty, wouldnt back down from anyone. Poor guy wound up with MS at the tail end of his career, eventually over many years taking its toll, essentially his body withered from the neck down. Very sad indeed. He was always a gamer, a "team first" type, playing whatever role he was assigned with aplomb.

Sad to hear what happened to Dave Balon regarding his health toward the end of his career and afterwards. Very tragic indeed. It's unfortunate when something like that happens to any individual and is a reminder for each of us that we should not take our health for granted.
