Lets not get too ahead of ourselves....

Yes, he had a very good season in the RSL...
Yes, he had a great game vs. Austria (4 goals)

But we don't even know if he has plans to come to NA, let alone if his game will translate to the NHL, as he is quite small...

In all, definetly a nice pick, but lets hold off on calling him the 'steal of the draft' until he actually makes some kind of impact in NA.

He's a bit older than the 2004 draft class too (turning 21 this year), so stands to reason he's further developped than a lot of players in the same draft. I'd like to see him in Hamilton before getting too excited.

Grabovsky is younger than Perezhogin and Higgins both by one, but older than Kostitsyn by one... And considering this, his numbers in all situations this year (RSL and tournaments), we can say Grabovsky had an awesome year... It's a real surprise and YES, a could become the steal of the 2004 draft (don't shoot me like you did with Komi#1... could become, ok? let dream to us...). It's a player, for the Montreal Canadiens organization, who arrives of anywhere... It's a pure gift... Nobody counted on him... It's why we are simply so excited...

That's why i said "could be the steal"...

BTW, you forget 2005 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament...Look at his stats...Not bad if you consider that he was one the youngest player of the tournament!!!

actually he wasn't the youngest player in the tournament. Not even the youngest on his team. There were 2 players younger than him on the Belarus team. But he was one of the youngest players there.

Will Streit or Grabovsky are going to be 1st or second liners in Montreal?

Streit is a defenceman and if he make it to the NHL, it will probably be as a PP specialist. He's 26 or 27 years old so he still have time to play in the NHL. Bottom pairing defenceman, nothing more...

Grabovski is still a mystery. He was one of the best russian foward in the RSL and he will probably play for the Moscow Dynamo in 05-06 so we will see what he can do on a great team. He's still very young so yes, he might, one day, play on one of the top two line of the Habs. If he can fill out, he could be like Martin St-Louis...I'm not saying he could be as good but he would be a small stocky fast foward...

I think the NHL should get rolling on the CBA thing. We're losing our chance to watch these two superstars in action right now. Maybe they could include Streit and Grabovsky in the negotiations, because they are superior hockey minds that will likely get the job done.
