Toronto is in the early stages of contending and would like to take the next step towards becoming Stanley Cup champions.

Were are currently looking for a potential high end LW to play with Matthews, 3rd/4th line depth options at all positions to bolster our forwards and hopefully a top pairing defenseman to play with Morgan Rielly as well as a couple of 3rd pairing options.

Due to the needs elsewhere on our team the Maple Leafs are willing to trade the UFA Rights of James Van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak, if we cannot agree on a contract before the draft.

But is there any evidence to specifically point to him resigning with CLB? Because if it's that easy to just offer him an acceptable contract for an inseason UFA...

Columbus offered him more than he's received in either of the previous two games we've held. Playoff team in the East, big role and a good NTC(lists 5 teams he'd accept a trade to), why wouldn't he sign? He's received everything he would reasonably get, and more!

+ the fact that Columbus traded for Anders Lee to make their top 9 even deeper and seem primed for a strong season.

:leafs confirm.

We would like to thank Matt for his hard work, dedication, and his mentoring of our young players, but believe it is time to move on and build more depth on our team.

We are very excited to acquire both Andrei Burakovsky and Anthony Duclair, who both fit the mold of our Toronto Maple Leafs. They are both extremely skilled players, who have blazing speed, and are still very young being 23 and 22 respectively.

With the site having some problems today, I am still waiting for a couple answers regarding Pacioretty.

I still hope to take a decision tonight but it’s not too late to jump in with your offer. Three teams still involved right now.

You should be hyped
To :canes
Eric Staal, Nino Niederrieter, Jason Zucker, Charlie Coyle

To :wild
2018 CAR 1st, Nicolas Roy, Janne Kuokkanen, Julien Gauthier, Haydn Fleury
Carolina is very happy to fill out our forwards with getting rid of only Fleury from our curent roster.

:wild confirm this relatively small deal.

Obviously hurts to lose arguably 4 top-6 forwards, but our team just needed major change to stop being an easy early playoff exit. Getting an elite talent like Svechnikov is HUGE for our rebuild, and the others are all very promising prospects, each with top-6 F / top-4 D potential.

All may not hit, but even if 2 become impactfully (which we think is likely), in addition to adding a potential superstar, we think this deal is well worth it.

Finally, this deal clears a lot of cap space for us. We plan on making big moves in FA including going after a certain center who would love a big pay day and the chance to play with Svechnikov...

Thanks to SJSharks for the great talks and everyone else who showed interest in these four guys.
