Nashville needs depth, and Detroit needs future right-handed D. As a Preds fan I wouldn't mind giving up our former 2nd rounder (Since we have Fabbro), and I'm sure Wings fans won't mind giving up a 4th liner for a prospect who might end up being a decent Top 6 d-man.

Do we really need to give up another D prospect for another bottom sixer we have no use for. We already have Hartnell, Jarnkrok, Sissons, Bonino, Watson, Salomaki, Aberg and McCleod in our bottom 6, we need to add more d prospects.

Really? I'm not at all convinced on the premise. "Nashville needs depth"... I don't see that.

Glendening, injury aside, is a good hard working NHL bottom-sixer, but he's on a bit of a premium $$$/term deal for what he does. Preds are in a pretty good spot in the bottom-six, without doing premiums like that.

I don't have much opinion on Dougherty one way or the other, but I just don't really see the need to trade a D prospect for a depth forward.
