Well at least he's not trying to just push through it like he did with the knee last season. He needs to be 100% healthy especially from the waist down to be effective. Hopefully he's back by the bruins game tho, Holden needs to be nowhere near the right side.

That's what she said. :sarcasm:

All jokes aside, Girardi healthy is bad enough.

And Holden continues to get massive minutes and preferred minutes over Clendening because why exactly? Even when management adds talent Vigneault's too dumb to recognize it.

because.........I don't even know there is literally no justification (BS or not) for this.

Aaron Rome syndrome.Vigneault fixated on a meh defenceman in Vancouver and gave him more minutes than were merited by his skillset.

Girardi has 50% CF in the two games he has played with 70% defensive zone starts, only two games so not a big sample size. Not bad actually but i still think he is horrible...

Not a huge fan of Holden playing all those minutes on his off side against that competition but I'd be even less of a fan of Clendenning getting those minutes.

That coughing up of the puck for the first goal against was aggravating as hell

That's what I was thinking. Clendening is kind of like Yandle---just not quite as good with the same kind of defensive issues. There's a strength issue and a lack of physical play and against a hard forechecking team like the Capitals that hits a lot--better that Holden gets drilled by Ovechkin and Wilson than Clendening.

Defensively the Rangers top four last night did very well all in all. No reason to complain coming from 2 goals down to beat arguably the best team in the league in their own rink.

Girardi has been a warrior for this team for many years, playing through all manner of injuries and literally sacrificing his body for the team. That everyone is reveling in his physical misfortune is kind of gross. You can say, "we're a better team without him" without sounding gleeful about his injury.

I wish DG a long and productive life. Sometimes with these hip flexors, however, who knows if he'll get his stride back at a pro level and maybe submit medical retirement papers??

Absolutely right.

Everyone will knock off the celebration immediately.

Just to try to clarify on Brooksie's vagueness, G was set to come back and then re-tweaked something during a practice, and G is just riding it out day-to-day to see how he feels?

Brooks doesn't give us a timeline here. Was the "Ooops" on Friday...and then he felt good on Saturday...and will now see how he feels today (Sunday)? The article is very confusing.

cocky disrespect and damning is what the Internet has become great for
its all over our site here, posters gleefully pissing on veterans and 18 year olds and the coach and management all week long

its not enough to have an idea you think is right, it must be built up by tearing down everything else

Yes, Holden should never get his minutes, but we severely lack D depth with 1 injury. Hopefully we see Trouba soon or any other in the L or R D position with a better Skillset compare to Holden, but that might not be easy in AV`s view.

Brooks is an idiot . He's basically saying oh darn he's hurt like fans o. Here .

Girardi is signed so he's going to play people . Deal w reality . He's likely bought out before the expansion draft

G's game went down because he was a warrior for so many years. Blocking all those pucks leaves a history on your body. We all knew this will happen. There's no reason to celebrate it like he's the enemy: he's more of an injured soldier who may be a drag on the unit right now, but you take care of him so that the next soldier will know he'll get taken care of. G will get every chance possible until he really can't go, even if some rookie who paid no dues will do a little better in limited, sheltered minutes.
