I think the esteemed Oiler poster is being sarcastic, understanding that

a) these players haven't committed to anything- let's see how many back out before (if, big if) this silly tournament ever occurrs

b) Indicating they would play in the fantastic poodleriffic WHA is their silly way of trying to scare the NHL

c) It's only a tournament if it occurrs- a chance to get together, get hammered and play some shinny. It's not like they're betting their kids futures on earning long term paycheques from the leauge (with its four desks and three dell computers)

That's where you are 100% wrong. Bettman indicated there would be no hockey without "cost certainty". He didn't get it and there's no hockey. No false promises by Mr. Bettman thereh. Perhaps if Bobby Hull had gotten involved, an impasse would have been unnecessary.
