Nylander signed for more than Pasta and Tkachuk. Which is sick, he is not in those 2 players tiers. He is a good player, that was playing his best hockey in a contract year. Will be interesting to see if he will remain hungry but that is such a team unfriendly contract. Another L for the Laffs. Marner is better IMO, he won't make it easy on them.
I wonder how Nylander would be if he was facing the other team's top lines.

This is apparently the defense that $92 million gets you. What a terribly lazy poke attempt, no urgency to pressure Romanov lol.

That’s when your payroll is so top heavy that you have to skimp on defense and goaltending.

You think that was bad, just wait, now that Nylander fleeced the Laffs again, he will be coasting for 8 years at 11.5M per. That somehow feels like like a misprint. Well they deserve him, worst fanbase and franchise in the NHL. Anyone thinks that was a good deal, needs to have their lack of brains examined.

Makes Barzal's deal look like even more a steal.

I can give Wahlstrom a break if he was a little rusty but having no real hustle or urgency to his game after being scratched is inexcusable.
Like he's playing for his career here. we need all hands on deck!

Horvat has essentially become what Tavares would’ve been on this team.

Not sure if Brock would’ve developed the same OR if the Isles don’t move him early on.

Yup, very true. So many possible trajectories. Brock may not have had the opportunity, perhaps Barzal would've been moved to JT's wing.

He has spurts, usually early, then he fades out. Once he doesn't get rewarded for his hustle, e.g. scoring, he fades. With someone who has a questionable work ethic, that's not a good pattern.

Seems very TML to acquire UFA to be on a lotto team Fleury. Swap Samsonov for contracts and add a pick. Guerin can cover with acquiring any number of veteran also ran tenders for the rest of the way. Fleury gets a shot at the playoffs.

All summer we read articles about how hard he was working
