Eliteprospects ranks him 105 so I am not that worried. Hopefully time in the NCAA will help develop his game. He needs to add a lot of muscle. 6'2" 179lbs is lanky.

Positives: RHD. Going to the NCAA after only spending a season in the USHL after playing in the 16U AAA in his draft-1 year.

Patrick Bacon ranks Yegor Gribkov as the best dman available yet isn't even rated on any major scouting board. I don't know what it says about him when he isn't even playing in the MHL and instead in Hungary.

If you buy into Patrick Bacon's assessment, then for sure you have no reason to be pumped. Winnipeg HOPEFULLY saw great improvement in his game, felt time in NCAA and AHL will help his game and hopefully he can become an NHLer. It is sad because this is the result of dealing Bryan Little and Nathan Smith.

I am sure Chaz would have been elated.

I was thinking that too since he was still there but... given what we already have in the prospect pool including what we added in this draft... (McGroarty, Lambert, Zhilkin + Chaz, Rash, Chib, Perfetti, Barron, Gus) there likely wouldn't ever be room for him on our NHL team and maybe that strains relations more than helps keep them strong if the Jets feel forced to play little bro in the NHL to keep big bro and their dad happy.

Passing on him for Zhilkin at 77 is a no doubter as Zhikin was in the 40s on other lists so was great value and another decently sized guy with skill that can play C.

Then you come back with another RHD with some size that may take a bit of a longer route to develop. I thought that Jordan Dumais was going to be there but the Jackets sniped him a couple of picks beforehand.

Ten assists in 24 games for the Musketeers and has the size that some of the other D who skated for the USA lacked at the recent WJC.

Wonder if he warrants at least an invitation to the USA camp in Plymouth this summer.
