Line ups are probably the same as last game (which incidentally are not the ones posted) but we will see.

Also why the hell is this a 7:30 game... what a stupid time to start a game... really screws up my schedule, which is something the NHL schedulers really should have taken into account... how rude of them.

We attended a game shortly after the change was announced, and a buddy and a lot of others in my section yelled “THY SONS” as loud as they could, which was jarring because we’re already chanting the anthem. I jumped like the startled toddler in the gif - like really? Just sing it the way we always have. No one cares! But Alberta is a lotta redneck, and don’t you go changin’ our song. But you can beat the Flames. Please do.

I heard the new school version at the Avs-Oil game on Sunday and it just sounds wrong like the singer screwed it up. Will be awhile until it sounds ok.

Thinking thoughts about the game.

Good things...

1) Flower in net.

2) Maybe Neal back.

3) Hyka/Matteau a (little) bit more practice time with VGK. May show on ice tonight.

4) Merrill in for Huntsy. Not entirely sure about this one. Huntsy has stood out lately...for both good and bad reasons though.

Bad things...

1) Calgary revenge after we won (got lucky/they blew it) up yonder a few weeks ago.

2) Flames coming off tough home loss to Broons.

3) Calgary more desperate than VGK?

4) VGK 3-3-0 last six home games. Some regression at home not surprising given our crazy great T-Mobile record previously, but still a bit concerning.

Other thing (good or bad)...

Rittich in goal for Flames. Been up and down, especially of late. Chased vs Panthers. Strong game vs Boston.
