It wasn't a hit to the head though. It was a check into the boards and Gamby got pinched off and slammed his head into the glass. But yes I was also happy Hertl crushed the dude and he wobbled off and didn't return.

Oh. I only saw it live and thought he caught his head with a shoulder.

Nope, he got pinched off on the boards by a bigger much stronger dude and his head slammed into the glass. Just unfortunate but a pretty typical NHL check. BB said after review that it was a good check and lamented that Gamby had been playing great. Hopefully he's back soon. (Can't believe I just typed that about Gamby).
