Heard a lot about him during his junior days in Orebro prior to the 2016 and 2017 NHL drafts though he was never selected.

Turns 23 in November and is off to a good start after playing in HockeyEttan last year.

Is this someone to keep an eye on?

What kind of logic is that? You can be a good NHL goalie at 6 foot

But I have to say I don't really see him as NHL material. Västervik has been off to a good start but it's still early in the season and it's HockeyAllsvenskan we're talking about. The leap going from a first-choice goalie in HockeyAllsvenskan to a first-choice goalie in the SHL is rather big.

Look at the Flyers' prospect Samuel Ersson as an example. He was the best goalie in HockeyAllsvenskan playing for the newcomers Västerås two seasons ago, but his numbers were sub-par playing for Brynäs in the SHL last season, considering his talent.
