Watching the Avs/Stars game and it kinda makes me giggle a bit seeing that Waste Management which is a garbage company is a major sponsor of the Colorado Avalanche and their logo is on the ice in between the blue lines... what are some other funny sponsors yo see around the league?

Might just be me but pretty funny a garbage company being associated with the Avs... Might find Theodore there... :sarcasm:

The Avs should get Rogaine on board. Cross promotion with Theodore.

Don't know if it's funny or not, but I'm sure all the execs at Fox Sports Pittsburgh cringed during every Penguin home game this year, considering Pittsburgh's ESPN Radio affiliate has an ad right at center ice.

There's a good bit of irony (hypocrisy maybe even?) in seeing 'Golden Palace' online sports betting/casino ads on the boards in various NHL arenas these days given all the hoopla about the busted Rick Tochett gambling ring.

Some other facts about WM. It is/was a Wayne Huizenga company, who is the gentleman who used to own the Florida Panthers and Florida Marlins, and is the current owner of the MIami Dolphins. Huizenga also used to own Blockbuster Video as well before selling it to Viacom.

Strange thing is, for a garbage man, once the teams or companies are sold, then usually they turn to garbage.

Missed it Wednesday night. Weekday games are tough for me to get to from the southside.

Those Gladiators are playing some good puck this year.
