Franchise Mode Injury Glitch

So I'm in about year 9 of my franchise mode and I've noticed that in basically all nine seasons of play , My team has good health all year but I lose at least one or two of my top players right around the start of the playoffs or during the playoffs for a long period of time (month or two ). I think I had only one season that I can recall where I had no injuries around playoff time.

It's getting frustrating because every season right when the games matter the most I end up losing two of my players(one of I'm lucky ).

Maybe I should take off my tin foil hat but I wouldn't be posting it here if it wasn't happening nearly every darn season.

Does this happen to anyone else or am I just getting bad luck ? Thanks

I wouldn't put anything past the EA team. I wouldn't say you're in tin foil hat territory just yet.

I'm not sure it's happened every year for me (6 years deep), but it has happened maybe 2 out of 3 of my playoff years... and it's never a scrub. Always a key player... like my starting goalie or 1LW.

It legit just happened again.

So my team is first in the west heading into the playoffs and then one of my top d man is hurt for the first round . I prevail and win. Okay no biggie.

Then, I'm up 2-0 in the Western Conference Finals looking Cup worthy after years of second round exits and my head netminder, who has been my backbone this season gets injured after my game two win and is out for the remainder of the playoffs .

My backup goalie loses four straight and I'm eliminated .


What the f***. This is no longer a coincidence it's become repitition.

EA is a joke and as much as I love Franchise mode , I'm about to boycott it due to sheer bullshit.

f*** you EA. Straight up.

It happened again lol.

I was up 3-1 in the Western Quarterfinals and my head goalie who was standing on his head all season is injured till round two .

My backup loses three in a row and I'm eliminated.

f*** you EA. Why don't you create a franchise mode that is actually fair you assholes.

Can goalies be injured in game now? Previously, it could only happen if you simmed.

Injuries happen in real life, guys...

Injuries also happen more frequently in playoffs, where the games are tougher and the turnaround time is less...

Not sure why this bothers people.
