Call me a homer if you want, but I'd go with Forsberg and Sakic. Either duo is legendary.

Sakic and Forsberg. All 4 of these players are basically a wash at their peak but Sakic and Forsberg were much more consistent .

Forsberg tilts it for me, he was just so incredibly dominant and impossibly hard to play against.

Federov is the clear weak link here. Absolutely fantastic player - but he wasn't dominant/consistent for as long as some of the others. He has less career/prime value than the other 3.

I'd also put Sakic ahead of Yzerman.

All three are tremendous two-way hockey players but Forsberg adds an element to his game that the other three simply don't. I'd also say that, overall, he was the best player when he was playing his best hockey (excluding Fedorov's one peak season, since I don't feel that's a true barometer of Fedorov as a player).

And with that, I'd take Forsberg and Sakic.
