Anyone know what font this is?
I think it's called "NHL Font that only the NHL has"
Yes, and with the 24% rollback, the League could afford the accents at the tops of the letters.
Unless you have a super word processor that can write diagonally, I don't think knowing the font would help you anyway.
you mean something like adobe illustrator?
anyway, im sure its a custom type face
Try http://www.dafont.com/...it may not have it but you might find something close - or something else you like.
Yeah... who needs a font anyway? It's just 3 letters, I'm sure they just added the accent's themselves, whoever made it for em'.
LOL, apparently diffuser is not familiar with the super-secretive WordArt function either.
I think you meant to say, "I don't know."
I think Scugs is likely right. Other than the wedge-like serifs, the typeface is pretty nondescript. I would guess the designing modified a standard font and added the wedges to complement the bottom-to-top flow.
I doubt a complete font exists. If it did, you would think the NHL would use it somewhere other than the logo.
You could always try asking on the message boards at Font-Finder.com or on the Usenet at comp.fonts.
It's probably a Helvetica Bold or Arial Bold Family font inclined forward, serifed, then turned up at an angle.
Bah! You kids and your newfangled gizmos.
