The problem is the games are lasting around 3 hours now. No more out of there by 10 from a 730 start.

Folks sitting around me with kids leave early every weekday game. If they stayed they probably would get home by 1045-11, try to get the kids to bed, and then get them up for school in the morning.

The Panthers, for all their family friendly work, should have earlier start times. There is only one Sunday game and all the Saturday games are at 7. How are they going to build generational fans if kids can't watch games live!

Boughner said the switch between Dadonov and Vrbata isn't permanent. Next game they're back to original lineup. This may be ok, give Dadonov time to really see that he needs to move around like hell and be free and can pot tons of goals. Vrbata didn't do any better with Barky and Huber anyway.

Still stoked we possibly have a legit 3rd line to provide offense and pressure.

Still have some minor adjustments/chemistry to work on the 1st and 2nd lines, but I'm not too worried about Dads or McGinn.
Dadonov IMO is right on the edge of clicking with Huberdeau/Barkov. I would give him the "9 game" tryout with them before thinking of moving him off the line for good.
Think if McGinn can't click there, could move him to the 4th line, scratch Haley, and then get Tippetts feet wet. Then if he struggles, just keep him on the bench/reduced minutes and then put McGinn back on line 2.

7:00 start times during the week make it impossible for people in Miami to arrive on time. I have to leave straight from work at 5:00 to be on time for a 7:30 puck drop.

Yeah not like Ekblad didn’t disrupt Upshall...

Was at the game last night. I did not think we looked particularly good especially defensively with a lot of stupid turnovers in our zone.

However, we are an excellent counter attack team right now. Much like division win team in 2016 we are a score off the rush threat every time.

Does not feel like huby and barky are anywhere close to themselves yet. I do believe Vrbata should be on their line.

That Huby pass across for the Ekblad one-timer was a thing of beauty.

    Lou was a rock.

If they can tread water in October they'll be in good shape the rest of the year. Killer schedule still to come though.

Is anyone else concerned with how our PK looks thus far? I realize we killed a 5 on 3 and they only got 1 on the PP, but I feel like we are constantly allowing quality passes through seams and quality shots. Something just seems off compared to last year. It seems like they like this system where they have a triangle down the slot with 1 F in front of the 2 D and then the other F challenges the puck carrier, but it seems like it's way to easy for the opposition to pass it around. Just feel like we're giving up way too many chances. Luongo was basically our PK last night.

The entire 2nd PK unit from last year was traded/bought out so it's not unexpected to have regression.

Seems like we're a tad less aggressive than last season.

McCann line has 12 points already. 4 each

They keep that up, man, sky is the limit.

    Love that third line.
One of our problems has always been having one, two good lines at most. Having that scoring depth/not relying on Huberdeau, Barkov and Tro to save us all the time would be huge.
Like guys mentioned above, we still need to figure out the PP and PK.
So far, things look really promising :)

As long as they can get their special teams percentage over 100, they will be ok. It's early.

Right now they are at 94

Finally found Bjugs some linemates he has chemistry with! As long as he stays healthy, there should be no reason he doesn't have a great year with the Barkov and Trocheck lines getting the opposition's best matchups. Super game by Luu!

Pysyk has been really good out there. Like how he positions himself well in the defensive zone. Think he will lead us in blocked shots this year.

And Bjugs has looked pretty good in all three games. Love the chemistry he's had with Brickley!

Still waiting for Barkov to really show up this season but even with him not showing much so far he's still on pace for an 82 assist season at the moment. :)

The Panthers' 13 goals are the most after three games in franchise history.
