Saw a thread by a Habs fan showing posts in the past about who he would have drafted, and it kinda got me thinking. Using the Top 20 prospects that this board voted on, what do you think they'll be in three years? Will they still be with the Flames? Blank template below.

1. Mark Jankowski
2. Tyler Parsons

4. Juuso Valimaki
5. Oliver Kylington
6. Jon Gillies
7. Adam Fox
8. Dillon Dube
9. Andrew Mangiapane
10. Spencer Foo
11. Brett Kulak
12. Morgan Klimchuk

Stoke me a clipper.
Like this? I put the guys that may not be with the organization in italics but there are probably many more.

1. Mark Jankowski - stays, maybe 2nd line centre
2. Tyler Parsons - no idea. Probably in the AHL
3. Rasmus Andersson - stays, NHL regular
4. Juuso Valimaki - traded for help up front
5. Oliver Kylington - NHL all-star, Norris winner, Hart finalist, debut album hits top ten on the billboard charts and accidentally discovers a cure for cancer while making a protein shake.
6. Jon Gillies - KHL
7. Adam Fox - AHL, most likely (outside shot at the NHL)
8. Dillon Dube - AHL
9. Andrew Mangiapane - NHL tweener (see: Byron, Paul) hopefully not waived lol
10. Spencer Foo - KHL
11. Brett Kulak - NHL
12. Morgan Klimchuk - Part time NHLer (maybe still with Flames)
13. Hunter Shinkaruk - Leaves as FA / not qualified
14. Emile Poirer - Leaves as FA / not qualified

15. David Rittich - NHL backup maybe still with the Flames.
16. Tyler Wotherspoon - Leaves as FA / not qualified (?)
17. Matthew Phillips - AHL
18. Adam Ollas Mattson - SHL (does he even have an NHL deal?)

3. Andersson - traded
4. Valimaki - playing on our top pairing with Hamilton
5. Kylington - traded
6. Gillies - traded
7. Fox - playing on the second pair with Gio
8. Dube - RW on the Jankowski line
9. Mangiapane - playing bottom six minutes
10. Foo - 4th line RW
11. Kulak - traded
12. Klimchuk - claimed off waivers by another organisation
13. Shinkaruk - KHL
14. Poirer - KHL or retired
15. Rittich - backup to Smith's replacement
16. Wotherspoon - traded and playing for another franchise's AHL team
17. Phillips - bottom six RW

Janko/Andersson/Valimaki/Dube/Mangiapane/Klimchuk/Rittich/Parsons stay with the Flames (Parsons is in the AHL).

Kylington/Fox/Gillies/Shinkaruk get traded.
Foo/Wotherspoon/Priybl/Ollas Mattson/Poirier either stay with the AHL team or leave when free agent/not qualified.
Hathaway leaves when free agent.
Phillips is in the AHL, he ain't making the big show at 5'6 140 lbs.

I see it going down like that, I don't think the Flames find a way to sign Fox and trade him away to recoup picks, same with Kylington. I was super high on Kylington, but Andersson and Valimaki are so much better defensively that I don't think he can pass them on the depth chart, even though he is a different style of player, and with Gio, Hamilton, Brodie, Hamonic and even Kulak on the team, it will be impossible to have all 3 prospects in the line-up. I mean in 3 years we could look like:

Gio-Hamilton
Valimaki-Andersson
Kulak-Kylington/Fox

but I don't see us trading Brodie when Gio is so old (Brodie can replace him as the vet d-man on the team, even though Gio is way better defensively) and Hamonic now that we have 4 legit top 4 defenders. I think a Valimaki-Andersson pairing would be awesome for us in the future.

3 years is a long time, in 3 years a LOT can change with a roster, you could have a complete overhaul of like 10 players in as little as a year and a half. Hell, we're 40ish games in to this year and we've added Janko, Mangiapane, Kulak, Rittich, Hathaway, and including the off-season and mid last year (to complete the calendar year), Stone, Smith, Hamonic, and just yesterday Hrivik; and if you go back to the start of last year, Tkachuk as well. So 9-10 new bodies in a calendar year have been added to the Flames. + Jagr and Versteeg who I also forgot about so 12 people going back to the start of last year.

I still stick with my picks at the top of my long ass post, I think all those players will be Flames in 2021.

Assuming "3 years" means midway through the 2020-21 season, I am also assuming that Seattle joined the league that season:

1. Mark Jankowski - Middle 6 center w/ Flames
2. Tyler Parsons - NHL Backup w/ Flames
3. Rasmus Andersson - Middle pair defenseman w/ another club
4. Juuso Valimaki - Middle pair defenseman w/ Flames
5. Oliver Kylington - Top pairing defenseman in SHL
6. Jon Gillies - NHL Backup w/ another club
7. Adam Fox - AHL freshman (he's going to finish his degree before going pro) w/ another club
8. Dillon Dube - Middle 6 winger w/ Flames
9. Andrew Mangiapane - Third line winger w/another club
10. Spencer Foo - AHL w/ another club or Europe
11. Brett Kulak - Bottom pair defenseman w/ another club
12. Morgan Klimchuk - 12/13 forward w/ another club
13. Hunter Shinkaruk - AHL w/ another club or Europe
14. Emile Poirer - AHL w/ another club or Europe
15. David Rittich - NHL Backup w/ another club
16. Tyler Wotherspoon - 6/7 defenseman w/ another club
17. Matthew Phillips - AHL w/ Flames
18. Adam Ollas Mattson - Middle pair defenseman in SHL
19. Daniel Pribyl - 1st liner in Czech League
