The most impressive merit on Jagrs resume is the following:

During the 2015-16 season when Jagr was age 43 and 44, he was 5th in the leauge in even strength points.

Read that again, its insane.

Jagr the Wise already giving Bennett some lessons:

The Bromance begins. We need a nickname for this duo.

Bennie and the Jet?
Bennie and the Czech? (f*** we need another Czech on hs line. Bennie and the Czechs would be an amazing name for it).
Jagget (Nevermind sounds way too close to a very offensive term)
Batman and Robin?

I might photoshop those two onto a picture of Harry and Eggsy from Kingsman.

Whoever does the GDT for Jagrs first game should do a GoT theme, where Jagr is Ned Stark, and Monahan/Bennett/Gaudreau/Ferland/ect are the Stark Children. Brouwer or Bartkowski could be Theon lol

And yet he still has an 'A' on his jersey.

What a joke.
When will you finally comprehend that all a letter on your jersey does is allow you to speak to teh officials? Brouwer is a respected veteran with a good reputation league wide, which would allow him to be able to speak more candidly with officials.

Not to mention if people honestly think they can see effort, they are lying to themselves.

Apparently the new sportsbook feature lets you make your own bets. If I figured it out, I'd put all of my sCash on Jagr out-producing Brouwer this season, barring injury

Not sure what you guys are so mad about from that clip. I thought that was a really valid assessment. He admitted he needs to be better defensively, and then gave an assessment of their issues last night that, frankly, is very similar to my own. They were playing scared, and they weren't making smart plays with the puck in the neutral zone (and Edmonton were).

Also on a related note, is anyone using a desktop unable to see more than half of these tweet videos?

No, I don't mean I can only watch half of the video. I can only see the top half of the display window. It cuts off the bottom.

So part of why I may not be reacting the same way to it is because I was immediately presented with the quote beneath it (which I can see with my phone). Talk about the difference in first impression.

Which is why I think Jagr is going to have a huge bounce back season, despite his age, he looks leaner, trimmer and in phenomenal shape. I actually think he will be a bit faster this year. I really think he will get 60 + Pts.

Brouwer has such an amazing reputation league wide that the Vegas Golden Knights didn't want him for free

are you really this dense? I was clearly talking about him as a leader and someone that the officials can respect as a person. Leadership and communication have very little to do with on ice play. Anyone who knows anything about the game understands this. But feel free to keep proving how little you can comprehend

Exactly. An expansion franchise should want anyone who's THAT great of a leader to help the new players in the room and be a voice out on the ice. What a shame the Knights didn't pick him up for free but thank God we were able to keep him here as an alternate captain

Jagr the Wise already giving Bennett some lessons:

Oh man, this makes me so giddy. Seriously I feel like this season playing with Jags is going to monumental in the development of Bennett’s career. The lessons he will learn will be immense.

Also I don’t think Brouwer’s interview was bad. He’s really liked in the room and I think it’s because he’s positive. I feel bad for him, you know he’s the whipping boy right now and he faced the media with class. But I agree with II, I feel like he should be mad of the demotion, so even though he didn’t show it, hopefully away from the cameras he’s using it as motivation.

With Brouwer back on the 4th line (like the playoffs last year), the Flames are now spending over $8.6 mil on the 4th line. Realistically we should be spending around $3mil if you wanted 3 decent 4th liners, less if you put in ELC/league min guys.

Meanwhile, the 2nd line is just over $8.8 mil and the 3rd is $4.7 mil (5.7 with Jagr's bonus applied, though it will be counted to next years cap and not this one).

You’re right, but what’s important is that we still have cap space. The Bennett and Tkachuk contracts are saving us. And after this season Brouwers deal will be the only bad contract on our team.

Anyone know when Jagr will be in the lineup and who he's projected to be playing with? Wondering if I should hold on to him in my Fantasy league.

Thanks
