CALGARY (CP): The Flames are not only heating up the phones of GM's around the league with trade offers as the deadline nears, they are also taking care of the future by signing a bevy of free agents.

The Flames have signed minor leaguers David Moss, Ryan Lannon and Matt Ellis to extensions. They've also signed Zybanek Michalek and RJ Umberger to three year deals and Jason Williams and Jason LaBarbera to two year deals.

Of note, is that Chris Phillips has not agreed to a deal. Reports say that Phillips has rejected a four year deal but the Flames are considering an improved offer.
