McKeown is a RHD though, so not sure how he makes Hanifin expendable. I don't think there's anyone that is going to take 1 single game where he got pretty sheltered minutes and conclude that's what McKeown is capable of, thus making any of our defensemen expendable right now.

Darling now with a .910 save%. That's league average among all goalies. Now we just need to get him up to .915ish so he can be league average among starters and we'll be in a good position if our offense could ever come to like a little bit more.

Also was just looking at league wide stats. Scoring is at it's highest rate since the 05-06 season. Team's are scoring an average of 3.07 goals per game, last year that number was only 2.77. Wonder if the number drops as the season goes along though?

Scoring will go down because they will call less penalties and games will be tighter checking. Happens every year. The Canes however need to increase their scoring while the league around them decreases. Will not be easy.
