I love him. Smooth skater, good 1st pass. Perfect in new NHL and great cap-hit for a 2nd or 3rd D...better than a lot of comparable contracts.

with gudbranson getting 4per, matheson at 4.875 is looking incredible. first half of the season was pretty shaky, but then again the whole team was. still a learning curve, but the second half or so of the season hes looked fantastic. his confidence is wayyyyy higher, and now hes flying and making things happen. hes looked great as of late and it should continue.
