Niemelä Topi, Aatu Räty & Österman Olli some names that impressed in game2

After 3 games 2 per player top5 finns for me were
1. Aatu Räty
2. Oliver Suni
3. Kasper Puutio
4. Christoffer Sedoff
5. Topi Niemelä
Sweden's and Finland's U16 national teams are playing three games this weekend and I must say I was very impressed with Aatu Räty in game 1.

I know its so early but i have to mention that 13-year old Joakim Kemell has made good points on JYP C-juniors (U16). 24 games played and 10 goals 7 assist on qualification series.
Joakim Kemell

Not really a top prospect, but Eetu Sopanen who played in the 2016 WJC gold medal team has to retire. He got injured 10.11.2016 and hasn't played after that. He can't really live a normal life at the moment as even studying isn't possible. Awful news, so young. I hope he can live a normal life.

Yeah but they're both already waaay behind players who were picked after them. Neither of them should've been picked where they were. Easy to say now, ofc.
Yup, because (less than) two years after the draft is the time to come to that conclusion.. not.

Seems as if Leevi Aaltonen has dropped out from the face of the earth. Had such great expectations on the kid, but after watching him a few times this season I'd have hard time figuring out where to place him. Regarding the other kids from the 2019 draft the recent news from the world would whisper that Honka has increased his stocks and was it Pronman who had him going in the first round. How would you describe Henri Nikkanen by the way (strengths/weaknesses/upside)? Kakko is the crown jewl and you can pretty much tell already that he'll be one of the first ones to enter the podium. Both of the two being products of the same organization (JYP). Pretty rare for a "top" team to ice two draft eligible youngsters at the same time though, so wonder what Henri's chances are to make it in the league next year. Can't imagine Kaapo not already being carved out a slot in the roster.

Pyry Puntala is not alive anymore he died traffic accident in Turku last summer.
Also there's no way Christoffer Sedoff is 9th best Finnish prospect for 2020 NHL draft.
And also Anton Lundell should be higher too.

Puntala's death was tragic and a really sad story. :(

Eero Niemi would be in my top 10 for sure and Sedoff in top 5.

FinnProspects released initial Top 15 for the 2019 NHL Draft
Prospects Ranking 1 / 2018-19 | FinnProspects.com

Top 5 at the moment would be:
1. Kaapo Kakko (TPS)
2. Anttoni Honka (JYP)
3. Henri Nikkanen (Jukurit)
4. Antti Saarela (Lukko)
5. Mikko Kokkonen (Jukurit)

Unusual to see players from Jukurit in the draft speculation. Anyway this seems like a very deep draft for the Finns and I definitely see a lot of players outside the top 15 with decent chances to be drafted.
