Favourite NHL teams in major countries, where hockey has little popularity?

What I mean by the title is big countries such as India, Japan, China, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc., etc. who naturally don't have a big hockey fan base. Are there statistics for the team that is most popular in the country, or are there logical assumptions? For example Minnesota is the most popular team in Finland, and there is data to back it up. What about for the countries where hockey isn't as popular?

Considering there are only 30 NHL teams, I seriously doubt it.

Hockey isn't unknown in the UK but from personal experience it has to be the Toronto Maple Leafs. Most local teams games might as well be a Maple Leafs game!

My brother-in-laws family is from England & Scotland and are all leafs fans, but that's about as much help as I am!

I've met one penguins fan, one Tampa fan and one Detroit fan that are from the UK. Also, maybe it's just me cos I'm penguins fan but, I have noticed over the last few years they get a fair amount of air time in the UK. So they could be popular here.
