Seriously, are there any updates on Faulk at all? I need to decide whether I should keep him for playoffs. But I haven't seen anything about his status anywhere.

Seems like we'd have a bit more patience with this question having been asked in this particular thread.

What about Tolchinsky's future in Hurricanes? Does he have any chances to crack roster spot this season or to receive any call ups during the season? Trying to draft him in deep keeper league...

All over the map, some are saying 30-35 points would be expected, some people have projected as high as 50. But it sounds like Bill wants to give him and Teravainen a chance to start the year on the same line, take that for what you will.

Hey Canes fans. Few quick questions for ya. I've heard really good things about your young defenders, but don't know too much about them as far as this year's expectations go. Who do you see having the best year between Slavin, Pesce and Hanifin? Also, will Staal be getting top line duties, or will Rask? I'm guessing Staal will be on the first line with Skinner, but do you see that changing? Do you see him flirting with 50 pts again this year? Thanks in advance and good luck this year!

For the sophomore defensemen, if I had to put a bet on who would have the best season, I'd pick Slavin. He was the one who stepped up the most when Faulk went down with that injury. Hanifin would be second and Pesce last.

As far as the forwards go, Staal will likely play with Nordstrom and Nestrasil again, facing the opponents top lines. Skinner and Rask will play together, probably with Stempniak as the "scoring" line.

Around 40-50 points from Staal sounds right, unless one of his line mates takes a huge step forward.

Best year? or most points? If it's best year overall, I'm of the same opinion as Surrounded by Ahos: Slavin --> Hanifin --> Pesce. If your question is most points, I'd expect Hanifin to get more top PP time and scoring more so I'd go Hanifin --> Slavin --> Pesce.

Either way, Pesce is definitely going to be the lowest scorer of the three unless someone gets hurt. Given the +/- dynamic on our team, his lack of hits, and his lack of PIM, I wouldn't take him in a fantasy draft unless it went pretty deep. He's a good hockey player but not a stat generator.

Hey guys. Does Elias Lindholm have much upside fantasy-wise? I took him in the last round of my draft, which was a fairly deep one. Does he still have any of the potential that made him a 5th overall pick?

What do you guys expect from him this season?

Elias Lindholm

Hi, Carolina fans! I've had Lindholm in my keeper fantasy pool for two years now, and he's not exactly off to a blistering start. Tonight, though, he absolutely sniped one against Price. Is he going to be elite in time, or inconsistent and middling? Your thoughts are appreciated!

He's never going to be elite IMO. If you can just bench him for the first 6 weeks of the season you'll get a decent player the rest of the way.

What about Cam Ward?

He's my #3 goalie behind Holtby and Craig Anderson. What's going on with him this year? I've been paranoid to put him in my lineup all too much but I can't deny what I'm seeing which is, this might be the best I've seen Ward play maybe ever. I've been involved in fantasy hockey for 17 years or so and so I follow all the players in the league for most part and goalies in particular.. What the heck has gotten into him?

If you could tell me the Ward we are seeing is not a fluke, I can likley offer up an Anderson to some goaltending starved teams in my league and get a fortune back in return. So what's the scoop fellas? Look forward to reading your replies.

Oh and on a side note...look fwd to our game tonight....my Rangers vs your 'Canes...should be a good one. We want revenge tho...

Sell him while he's hot! Who cares whether he'll continue at this pace? You know he still won't be as valuable as Holtby and Anderson, and his value will likely never be higher.

C'mon, get over it. Your GM was dumb enough to trade picks and prospects for Eric Staal in the first place so no need to want "revenge" just for that.

That's a good one. Admit it made me chuckle. Obviously I'm thinking revenge from 3-2 loss at your barn and you come up with this. And yes I was not thrilled with the deal. That said, thankfully we got Vesey for "free" to replace the draft picks we dealt and our GM Gorton snagged some cheap FA's over the summer like Grabner,Pirri,Holden...etc and so we are making due.

Funny how Staal all of a sudden is fantasy worthy. I should know as I have him on my squad as well as Ward. I also have your boy Justin Faulk who I like quite a bit as well. Wouldn't mind some more scoring from him tho
