Almost that time of year.

What's your magazine?

Schedule:
Dobber - Aug 1
THN - Early August
The Forecaster - mid to late August
Sportsnet - not sure, late August I think
McKeens - early September, aka too late.

there's some other ones out there too. feel free to share

I prefer the custom guide from www.leftwinglock.com.

Tried it last year. It was pretty nice, especially the spreadsheets. Of course predictions cannot be trusted a whole lot if at all, but that is a same problem with all guides, I suppose. Some pretty good stuff regarding stats repeatability etc there.

Decided to get Dobber this year, as they also offer spreadsheets and I have heard good feedback about them.

A guide is a nice way to get pumped up before the drafts and the season. Take the points predictions with a large grain of salt and you can also get something useful out of them.

Can't wait for August 1st !

I think Dobber is the best of the bunch. If you have to buy one, that's the one you need.

I would pass on the Forecaster though.

TSN is good but is out so late in september :(

If you use Forecaster, it's for everything except their projections.

I hope they adjust and don't give 80+ pts at the top 20 and 70+ for the top 40. It's so unrealistic.

Everything except that, Forecaster is a good production.

I'm gonna give LWL a shot this year.
I always get Dobber -- best of the bunch IMO.
I'll try both and see how they shake out.

I've seen copies of at least THN's Ultimate Fantasy Guide out as early as the 1st couple days of August in the past. I'm surprised its not out yet. I've been every book/magazine store and gas stations too.

Usually I pick up both the Forecaster magazine and THN. I have a feeling that they'll be coming out this coming week, especially if some of you guys out east are getting them.
