The defensive zone center needs to drop his stick 1st.... in half the instances it looks like the offensive zone center wants to drop his stick first or doesn't feel comfortable dropping his stick right before the puck drops
who came up with the idea that this is an advantage for the offensive zone center??
What was the problem with the way they did it a few years ago (and the way they have dropped the pucks ...since)
They battle for it, some dirty tricks, skills etc.
Right now...the problems are 1) how many players are getting kicked out of the face off circle (frustrating everyone, prolonging the game) 2) If its really an advantage for offensive zone center (because this was the main reason this new rule was implemented)
IMO they should scrap this new rule
