...but I'm hoping you Calgary fans can settle a discussion one of my coworkers and I were having about another goal that wasn't counted. It may have even been in the same game, and maybe even by Gelinas as well, but how we remember it was there was a clear in and out goal (off the back crossbar) that everyone missed. Even the announcers barely caught it, and while I think the next day there may have been a small blurb on how it was likely a goal, it was astounding how there wasn't more made of what would have been a series clinching goal. We can't remember if it was in OT or regulation, but we're leaning towards it maybe having been late in regulation and would have given them the lead.
My coworker is a Flames fan and he's convinced they swept it under the rug because of how bad it would make the NHL look to have missed such an obvious goal...but I'm hoping one of you guys would remember this, or at least fill me in with the details of when it happened.
