We've got a lot of key players returning soon.. thing is, what to do with everyone? McLaren seems to be getting a lot of love from Carlyle, and Orr seems destined to stay as well. Many people have discussed Brown being traded, but I honestly think that he is better than both McLaren and Orr. Anyways, for our even strength lines, once Lups, Frattin, and Gardiner return:

JVR-Bozak-Kessel
Lupul-Kadri-Frattin
Komarov-Grabovski-Kulemin
Orr/McLaren-McClement-Brown

Odd men out: MacArthur, Steckel

Phaneuf-Gardiner
Fraser-Franson
Kostka-Gunnarsson

PP#1:
Kadri-Grabovski-Frattin
Gardiner-Franson

PP#2:
Lupul-JVR-Kessel
Phaneuf-Kostka

I truly believe that PP#1 would produce a lot more than PP#2. Any other way to switch it around? And does anyone believe that Liles, Komisarek, Steckel, or MacArthur should be in instead?

I would be OK with Bozak as the draw man for PP1 and have PP2 as the on the fly change - when/if the puck is cleared.

I'd like an all out assault ala Pitts.

Kadri-Bozak-JvR
Gardiner-Kessel

Lupul-Grabovski-Frattin
Phaneuf-Franson

Max will not be the odd man out. The fourth line will have Komarov and McClement in it and fighters will not be needed in the playoffs.

This is what I wanted, but I thought people would be hesitant for only one defencemen on the PP... Pittsburgh can do that with Letang because he's one of the best defensive skaters in the game. I think:

Kessel-Bozak-JVR
Kadri-Gardiner

would suit us much better, at least we have speed and a tiny bit of truculence in the back end, along with great passers and shooters!

PP1
Kessel-Kadri-JvR

PP2
Lupul-Grabovski-Frattin
Gunner-Franson

ES
JVR-Bozak-Kessel
Lupul-Kadri-Frattin
Komarov-Grabovski-Kulemin
Orr-McClement-McLaren

I'd love to switch Bozak and Kadri on ES, but this keeps our lines balanced and it's hard to break up the chemistry Fratts and Naz have going.

You need a strong energy line in the playoffs, though. Just because Detroit won the cup due to finesse doesn't mean that we're going to do the same. Different strategies exist as we saw with the 2007 ducks.

ES (PP lines are just the top two lines)

JVR - Bozak - Kessel (The "Ain't Broke So Don't Fix Line")
Frattin - Kadri - Lupul (The "Already Sick So Make It Sicker Line")
Kulemin - Grabo - Macarthur (Shut-down)
Komarov - McClement - Orr/McClaren (4th line)

And you think that Kamo and McClem will not be part of that energy line but MClaren and Ott will?
