Good win for the Caps, what a turn around in the series. Also, one of the laziest defensive and backchecking performances I've ever watched from Ovechkin.

Jackets were really really good in the third. Holtby did have some sweaty saves there. Had me on the edge of my seat all long.

I'll take this win without shame considering game 2.

This series is almost killing me :S

Holtby has basically turned the series around.

Just a couple of days ago, Trotz was all but fired. Now, he changes goalies and all off a sudden he’s got a lifeline.

One game apiece away from Caps-Pens AGAIN. Which no one wants to see TBH

It was just as bad for Caps/Rangers (5 times in 7 years from 2009-2015, and the only times they didn’t meet was in 2010 when NYR missed the playoffs (game 82, shootout vs the Flyers) and 2014 when WSH missed (only time Caps have missed the playoffs since they changed their logo/uni).

Last team not named the Pens/Rangers to beat WSH in the playoffs- 2011 Tampa.

It would be a letdown because Crosby/Ovechkin kinda seems played out.

Same thing happened in 2013, game 5 OT win at home, and then lundqvist has back to back shutouts.

I expect Washington to win game 6 though.

Though it doesn't matter until they get past round 2.

Pressure still on the Caps. CBJ have no high expectations and now they will be playing for their playoff lives while having fun. Ho hum if they lose but if the Caps lose then...................................
