Dreary game. Culprit #1 is the Boston ice. Neither team were able to skate or pass.
Culprit #2 is Matt Gryzlyk who deserves more mentions in the worst playoff performer of all time thread.

Tavares skating approx 3mph was able to one. Arm shove him out of the way the whole way

Complete and utter liability on the ice in the post season and Coaches keep putting him in for unknown reasons

Toronto should build momentum and confidence here now. Huge win.

Hopefully they get Matthews back for game 6 and handle business.

Great game from both goalies. After Boston came out flying to start Overtime I admit I thought we were cooked.

Just gotta find a way to win at home too.

Many of us have wanted him gone.

I predicted Game 1 he would be replaced by game 3. Indeed he was.

Montgomery overthinks life and dresses him this game.

Only through the second round. Jack infamously yelled SUMMERTIME IS COMING TO PHILADELPHIA after the Bruins completed the sweep of the Flyers, and Versus & NBC took over exclusive coverage of the ECF and SCF from there.

I don't know for sure but I suspect it was 1994. MSG definitely covered that one. I think once they got the Fox contract for 1995 it went exclusively national from there. But I may be wrong.
Back when OLN had the broadcasts, they used to do games 1 and 2, give it back to local TV and take over for games 5-7. Something like that. I believe NBC did the same thing. (early 90s)

The race to get smacked by Florida continues.

Neither team look like a genuine contender to put it mildly.
Tbf Leafs slaying the dragon would keep a lot of people their jobs even if they get slapped by Florida (again).
