Boston deserved to lose tonight for shamefully not going at Kadri. The NHL is soft as baby shit and it is pretty sickening.

Rat league.

The lack of respect being paid to the Bruins on here is unfathomable. I'm going to have to stay off here until game 6.

Check yourselves before you wreck yourselves.

For a little more clarity, here's the breakdown on power plays on a team win basis:

For Boston wins (Games 1, 2, 4):

GameBostonToronto
13/60/3
22/41/4
40/00/1
Total5/101/8
[TBODY] [/TBODY]
For Toronto wins (Games 3, 5):

GameBostonToronto
30/11/1
51/61/1
Total1/72/2
[TBODY] [/TBODY]

What does this tells us? It seems like when a team scores on the power play, chances are they win......shocking!

Also shows the discrepancy in power plays in the 2 games the Leafs have won compared to the 3 games the Bruins have won.

Except numbers don't do it justice

10 penalties = 10 penalties is not fair officiating
and even the 17 - 10 comparison alone isn't enough to give you a clear image, you would have to watch the games.

The correct calls being made consistently should be the judge of fair officiating. The amount of crap the B's get away with is absolutely insane, the leafs get called for penalties on the exact same play. When Boston does it, it's just a good physical hockey play. If those plays are going to be called interference/hooking, Boston should've been called for about 5 of them tonight alone.

Consistency is all we ask for, if it's a penalty for one team, the same rule should apply for the other team.

Also is Nash 1 playing with straw sticks ? Those things are falling apart if someone coughs on them

He deserved a penalty no doubt. No need for him to be a 3rd wheel in a 2 man dance.

No fighting majors were assesed on the play, Hyman just got jumped. Even if you want to give Gardiner something for trying to separate them, Chara came in and punched Jake in the head in front of everyone and got nothing.

None of it makes sense.

Nothing made sense. Backes got 4 minutes. 2 Leafs got penalties. Shouldn't the outcome have been powerplay for Boston followed by powerplay for Toronto?

4 on 3 followed by 5 on 4?

Bruce Cassidy on Tuukka Rask: “I don’t think he had it tonight ... Clearly I thought if he was on, then he wouldn’t have gotten pulled.”
23:26 - 21 Apr 2018

Note that all 4 goals scored on Rask were point blank chances, all alone on rask, all from great cross-seam angle-changing passes.

it's weird - in toronto, those kinds of goals are always blamed on our "horrible defense", and never on the goalie who "had no chance".

I think the Bruins know Nash won’t do anything with his stick so they made sure he’s got weak sticks. Only way to get value out of that first round pick they gave up for him.

Then it should be called in every multi player scrum. That would get awfully silly in a hurry.

And yeah... let's also add that we should ignore the direct punch in the face.

Imagine if a Boston player got punched in the face and got a penalty for it, in a game where penalties were against them 6-1? Can you imagine how they'd act?
