You didn't give Edmonton their second round pick. The 2nd rounder they traded in the Nedved deal was the compensatory pick they received when the Rangers signed Leetch as a UFA.

I used a list of traded picks posted on the Trade rumours board and I followed what it said. Since I can't use compensatory picks as of now, that's the result. Sorry if there are some other mistakes like this one.

But I wonder is it 100% sure tat the 2nd is a compensatory pick?

Thanks for the work.

My comments :

I don't see Pineault lasting that long. He's a first rounder IMO.
Radulov could be higher also.
Montoya is a top 15 pick IMO.
Schwarz is a top 10 guy also.
Thelen is too high.
I could see Phoenix pick Schremp rather than Wolski who I feel is picked too high on you list.
Overall a very good job. :handclap:

Thanks for doing a second round :)

Who are Shawn Mole, Raymond Sawada and David Krejci and why do you think they are worthy of second round picks?

Sersen, Zajac and Shultz would be an interesting trio of 2nd round picks for the Coyotes. Personally I would like the Coyotes to take Pineault or Booth ahead of Sersen.

Shawn Mole plays with Yale in the ECAC and IMO, he's the 3rd best D from the NCAA available for this draft (Behind Thelen and O'Neill and in front of guys like Kevin Schaeffer, Mike Lundin, Steve Birnstill, Casey Borer and Jonathan Sigalet). He's a two-way D with good skills, such as skating, passing and hockey sense. He can be a good PP-quaterback. He's 6'1/190 and he can also use his size on his advantage. Some might say that he has no points in 27 games in the ECAC right now but he's progressing very well and he's showing his skills.

Raymond Sawada is a high energy player who plays for the Nanaimo Clippers in the BCHL. He's a big hitter who works hard on every shift. He doesn't have awesome skills but he'll do everything he can to score. He will most likely play for Cornell next year. I don't have his stats for this year so if anyone can provide them to me, it would be appreciated.

David Krejci is a small (5'9/165) czech centerman with an impressive set of skills. He's a good scorer, great passing and stickhandling skills, he also have superb hockey sense. He has a good accurate wrist shot. His defensive game is not bad but could use some work. What will hurt him is his small frame and the fact that he's nothing more than an above average skater. Rumors say that he'll enter in the import draft to play in the CHL next year.

Burke is infamous for taking the best player available, but he knows better than anybody else, that we need an offensive force in the system. Dont be surprised to see him draft Alexander Radulov, or Evan McGrath if they're still available.

Other words, excellent work though.

In this years playoffs. Raymond stats look like this.

1G 6A 7Pts, in 9 games.

During the season Raymond put up some decent numbers.

20G 32A 52Pts, In 54 Games. He also has 12 PPG.

My reasonning behind that pick is that the Canucks don't have a strong prospect core, but that their biggest weakness was their lack of good D prospects. Kirill Koltsov being the only one who have a good chance of making it to the big leagues, I thought that Hedman was the perfect pick for Vancouver. I have to admit though that it was close between him and McGrath but he got the edge because of the way he's developping so fast.

I really like Alexandre Picard at #17 for the Blues but Dustin Boyd seems like a reach in the 2nd round. Jay Mclement figures to fill the Blues 3rd line center role for years to come.

No way Smid will be available at the end of first round.
Too many people judges too much from one tourney.

I actually thought he was pretty good during the WJC but I think that every players picked above him deserve to be higher. I think that he could go anywhere from 15 to 40 and that 30 is a reasonnable spot for him considering who were picked around and what strategy each team used.

Rangers might take Wes O'Neill, Green, or Ladd over A.J. Thelen

and if we move to #5 (1 pt away) and/or move up in the lottery, we hope Cam Barker falls to us.

Nice work Duff,Just some minor thing like...

I think Alexander Radulov Is too low In your list...Imo he will be pick In the top 20

I think Mark Fistric Is too low...any team able to get him with the 55th pick will be VERRY lucky,he will be choose In the 2 round, but not that low

anyway Good work :handclap:

Thanks for the reports Duff88 :)

I think I saw Raymond Sawada's stats in hockeydb.com. They arent bad but Travis Zajac has twice as many points in the same league so Sawada must have a much more complete game or perhaps he'll fall a little bit more.

We all know its about needs, i dont think any on in the top 10 needs a goalie at all. Maybe the yotes would want to take one, but with Boucher being pretty good and LeNeveu (SP) being a great goaltending prospect then i doubt they'd want a goalie. The only team that needs a goalie in the first 15 is LA, and he gave them Schwarz on there. I agree that both are top 15 and top10 potential, but its all about needs, but im sure you already know that. :yo:

Actually, I just checked out Tesliuk, and I think Shultz would be a better pick than him.

I think soo, especially knowing the preference of Murray for NA kids. I think that AJ Thelen is too high (even if I can see him drafted by Anaheim), and I would prefer to pick Green rather than O'Neill.

Good list DSuff88.

I find it strange how a lot of people come on here and say "Team X wont take Player Y because they are loaded at that position"

In the first round a lot of teams pick Best Player. When you get into 2nd round and on teams start to look at position.

I could see Chicago, Phoenix, Anaheim, Rangers, Minnesota, Edmonton and LA picking a goalie before spot #15.
Yes some of these teams already have young goalies, but none has a certain franchise goaltender of the future. Schwarz is one IMO.

CHI - Crawford, Munro, Leighton, Underhill, Andersson. I know they dont have a franchise guy bot 3 of those guys will be NHLers.

PHX - Lenevue, severly under rated on HF.

ANA - Giguere is 26, and they have Bryzgalov.

NYR - Blackburn!! He is hurt, he will come back strong.

MIN - Harding and not much else.

EDM - Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers has a bright future.

LA - Agree, no one there really.
