(I am not sure where to start this thread so feel free to move it)

I was discussing about a goalie in "my" team in Sweden on a forum, he is born 1982 but not drafted. Can he be drafted or can any team that wants him just sign him?

With the new CBA, Europeans 22 and older (I think) have to be signed, and not drafted.

I think they still have to be drafted, but the rights only held as long as players in North America. So you can't keep guys over here for ages and then call them over if you need them.
