I'm having an argument with my friend who says the team who wins the Stanley Cup doesn't pick 30th, I think they do.

So, does the team who wins the cup pick 30th? Thanks for the help.

(Curious about the Philadelphia pick that the Oilers have, whether it'll be 25th or 30th.)

The team who picks 30th is the team who wins the President's trophy (Gets the most points). So it would have be Detroit but, they traded that pick to Washington in the Robert Lang deal.
