Clearly Goodenow and company are well aware they enjoy less then stellar support. Now if Goodenow was a man of courage and a real leader he'd offer a full leadership vote with a closed ballot. I'd guess he gain maybe 55% of the vote in his favor, but he'd have to ask himself the can he remain in charge when more then 40% of his union membership don't support him and a fair percentage of players worked against him last weekend

Why would the players vote a new executive now? The plan was, it will take a couple maybe 3 years for the owners to come around. The players knew this, planned for this, have strike pay to cover this, and are going forward with this.

The owners know this, and used the 1st year cancellation they knew would go through to face wash the players a bit. But the fight is to last a couple of years. This is the plan. The players are still on schedule. And after conceeding everything in one last chance at sanity at partnership, and still getting no deal to avoid total chaos, I imagine, total chaos it is.

Still on schedule ...??? :lol For what kiss off another 1.2 billion in salary ?? :lol

The NHL will play hockey this October with or without the current batch of players. By the way none of them have received a freakin dime of "strike pay" ok. None of these PA clowns have the stones to go another year, they'll throw Goodenow, Saskin, Linden and the whole lot of idiots under the bus if they don't have a deal done by August 1st. Wake UP :banghead: !
