If they're going to drop a ton of cash on a former Man U striker I'd rather it'd be Chicharito. He's younger and more dynamic at this stage in their respective careers. He'd also be a huge marketing attraction.

He could go back to Germany without a problem. He could play in Spain. He could stay in England with someone else. He has much better options IMO than coming to MLS. But maybe in a few years.

At this point Rooney needs to step down a decent amount to still be a good player, Hernandez doesn’t. He just needs to get out of that toxic situation at the London Stadium. That is going to take a while to resolve IMO and it doesn’t have much to do with the players.

Btw, Everton fired Big Sam, so Rooney looking to possibly stay depending on hiring a favorable replacement.
Looking like it actually happen according to Goff. The factor isn't the coach, its the all might Dollar. Moolah. MOONNEEYY!

Meanwhile DC looks to sign another big money player

Can’t stand Nasri, but he’d probably be good in MLS. Would at least get me to check out a DC United game on tv if they added Rooney+.
