the entire team from the goalie out has picked it up after the all star break. it’s great that any given night one of the lines are capable of carrying the team, it was zachas line against philly and zajac last night. great to see the secondary scoring come back

I remember the home team has a lopsided record over the last 6-7 years between the two teams.

They hardly ever win at The Rock, we hardly ever win at Pittsburgh. I think Wedgewood's shutout might be our only win in Pittsburgh over the last 5 years or so.
If memory serves me correctly, we often get blown out in Pittsburgh. Id like to know what our goal differential is there over the last 6-7 years.

Yeah I forgot that all that old stuff is gone. I can't believe that you still remember his alias's still, actually I can haha, such random stuff.

I remember somebody made a post replying to him that they'd like to high-five him, but were afraid that he'd break their hand from the force of it.

Some of those old posters were quite hilarious.

I think that 2012 run was the best of this board.

Remember the Kovy 2012 gifs? Holy ****. In 2011 during the comeback the Devils played in Pittsburg and the game went to overtime. The Devils had a few quick shots in close and MAF was flopping around. Elias picked up the puck and got it out to Kovy in the high slot. Steggy screamed "GET UP!!" because MAF was flat on his back, and of course Kovy buried it.

Someone made a gif of the play and overlaid "GET UP" in huge blinking letters. I'll never forget that, I laughed so hard I cried.

Classic stuff, that 2011 spring through the entire 2012 season was the most fun this board was since I've been a member. Bunch of potato farming clowns we were. Had to do some digging in my photos library, but here's all I have left.

(this was at a game in Dallas, but I've actually seen this guy around the rock a number of times over the years)

I don't even care about his stats, we're in a playoff race so if he's giving up less goals than we're scoring he's doing his job.
Goalie stats as a whole are overrated and not that useful to get an accurate picture of a goalie... been saying it since day 1, article also on nhl.com saying the same thing.

We got the bounces last night because we played harder than Pitts.

Were fortunate though that Crosby missed the wide open net in the 2nd and with the waived off goal too.

But we outplayed them by a wide margin

The waived off goal was not "fortunate". That was pure Goaltender interference, Period.

Crosby missing a wider-than-the-grand-canyon net WAS fortunate. That could've changed the way the game was played as far as Momentum goes.

The good: kinkaid seems to be out of his slump and is playing well, making big saves when needed (clutch saves). Zajac is doing well on the 3rd line.... which if the coach is smart hed leave him there. Wood has made huge improvements in his skating and starying to make moves with the puck. We have 3 solid lines

The bad: cory still isn't near ready, and even when he is, it will take him a few games to get back into game form... johansen being concused again, both bad for his progress this season and personally its bad to receive many concussions. Lovejoy... had a good run, but he's starting to regress to his old self

Do you remember the famous David Clarkson one where he was holding onto a potato??

I'm trying to find it on the net but can't.

Do you or perhaps anyone else have that? THAT was a hilarious meme.

I asked this before and no one bothered to respond which annoys me.

But I'll ask again : What happened to Cory?

Last time I saw him play was just before he was ruled OUT SICK. Is he still sick or did he suffer an injury?

He's been out a long time so unless his sickness has him bed-ridden, something else has happened that I wasn't aware of.

You did get a response and Cory hurt his groin in the Boston game.

I did? Hmm...I never saw that post(response) but thanks for the update.

And no wonder he's been out for so long.

A groin injury takes quite awhile for someone to recover from.

So far, Kinky has been, more or less, up to the task.

But make no mistake. We need Cory back soon.

I'm hoping Cory comes back out of his funk. Between the injury and losing streaks, he hasn't won a game since December 27(!).

He's KILLING my fantasy team :)

Last seasons loss at Pittsburgh on Thanksgiving weekend still pisses me off. 3-2 lead with 14 seconds to go and f***ing Sidney Crosby parks his ass right at the corner of the crease, nobody knocks him on his ass, and he pulls the puck out of a pile and scores the tying goal. The rest, as is said, is history.
