Despite winning last night, the New Jersey Devils have revamped their lines in an attempt to generate some offense. The top line of Kovalchuk-Drury-Gaborik will be split up. Said GM Rich Epstein "The top line has played well, but nobody else has. Hopefully this will get some guys going." Saying that the other lines haven't played well seems to be a vast understatement....while the top line has combined for 32 points in 11 games thusfar, the rest of the forwards combined have just 18 points and 6 goals. The new Devils lines are expected to look like:
Kovalchuck-Drury-Recchi
Bondra-Nieuwendyk-Gaborik
Blake-Horton-Vanek
Malhotra-Getzlaf-Weinhandl
