After giving up a late goal to blow a lead against Detroit, and then losing badly to their rival Islanders, the Devils bounced back last night with a 4-1 win over the Predators. While the Devils vaunted top line combined on the last goal, it was the second line of Jason Blake centering Petr Bondra and Mark Recchi that did most of the damage, with each player getting a goal. Kevin Weekes was strong in net, giving up just 1 goal on 22 shots. This was a good game for the Devils, as if they can get good goaltending and scoring from lines other than the top line they will be difficult to beat this year.
