Good that Zablocki is starting to show some offense. That was the biggest WTF pick for me last year.

Is Gustav Lindstrom injured? He hasn't played in a while.

1 assist for Cholowski last night.

Game winning OT goal for Zablocki who extends his goal streak.

He had an upper body injury, back in the lineup today.

Setkov is playing for Malmö in the Champions Hockey League tonight. #3 in red. Second period about to start:

No commercials? Get to hear the coaches banter with the boys?
Maybe advertisements on jerseys isn't terrible.

USA would just use it as additive income though.

Does anyone know if Ras is injured or sick? He isn't listed as suspended on the WHL website.

Found this from an article yesterday:
Tri-City again will play without forward Michael Rasmussen, who has missed the past two games with an undisclosed upper-body injury.

“Michael is unlikely for tomorrow, but we will probably have him for Saturday,” Williamson said.”

I hate the sound of an "undisclosed upper body injury." In the NHL that essentially was code for concussion, wasn't it?

edit: I'm not saying he has a concussion, just that the term has some connotations for me that really suck.

Or they don't wanna say right shoulder and have it targeted.

As a dman, Cholowski is one point off from leading his entire team in points per game (even though his numbers dont look huge), and Rasmussen is the same thing, losing out to a guy 2 years older (overager) by one point. Both guys are having pretty good years even if they arent [roducing absolutely huge numbers. Tri-city's record is actually really good too

Which prospects need a contract this year?
From 16, Cholowski, Smith and Hronek are already signed.
From 15, Svechnikov and Saarijarvi are already signed.
From 14, Larkin, Turgeon, Ehn and Holmstrom are signed.

So who does that leave?
Sambrook - Seems he's on track for a deal. 4-8-12 in 17 games, so he's having another productive season.
Vahatalo - Huge forward too a step back last year, production wise. He's on a new team this year and he's 4-3-7 in 21 games. Last year he was 3-4-7 in 45 games.
Seems like a bit a of a longshot.
Alexander Kadeykin - Big, heavy Russian forward is 24. He's never matched that draft year production since going to better teams (and taking a smaller role, presumably). 5-3-8 in 25 games this year seems like a longshot.
David Pope - Was a little surprised he didn't get an offer last season with his 13-18-31 breakout season. This year he's 4-3-7 after 6 games. He's 6'3, 200 pounds and can skate fairly well. He was also drafted the same year as Mantha and Mattias Janmark, so he's a 23 year old producing against teenagers in college. If he didn't get an offer last year, not sure why the wings would give one now.
