    Yeah, its weird. He's one of the best goalies in the whl.

    Nevertheless, he has won goaltender of the week awards numerous times in the chl and puts up very solid numbers :teach:

    NHL scouts might have thought much of his success was due to his defense. Maybe they thought he had no more development left. Maybe he has terrible work ethic or attitude problems. Despite his success, NHL scouts and GM's for some reason(s) thought he couldn't contribute at the NHL level. Although I think in a full nine-round draft, he's taken.

    i'm a big kelowna fan...and i said the same thing about kelly guard when ottawa fans were pimping him as the solution to their problems:

    kelowna not only plays a defensive system, they generally stack their defense so that it's about the best in the entire CHL...and goaltenders look better than they actually are behind it.
