For the Hawks both Bolland and Blunden have been signed...

Nice.

I keep waiting for that Troy Brouwer signing.

Anyone know what the cutoff date is, for a prospect not signing becoming a UFA rather than re-entering the draft? :dunno:

I'm guessing that if they turn 20 before June 1st then they are a UFA (a not totally uneducated guess, in this case).

Sweet.

Brouwer's a UFA then if he doesn't sign.

The Leafs should sign him. WHL scoring champ, captain of the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Litte problem with foot speed, but very gritty and shows alot of leadership and can score goals.

There are reports Evan McGrath is being, well, Evan McGrath....

Asking for first round money and standing firm. (apparantly draft day has already slipped his memory)
I don't see Detroit giving him that kind of a deal unless they sign him for another team. (and immediately deal him)

Tyler Haskins is an interesting case he's a scrappy defensive center who can skate and actually put up decent offensive numbers this year, but there really isn't room for him in GR it seems. I hope the Wings sign him and return him to Toronto for an over age season.

All the Euros on sarcasto's Detroit list wouldn't have to re-enter, I assume they'd just be free agents?

Think maybe Detroit could get a 2nd rounder for McGrath? I won't be distressed if they don't sign him but Holland better get something in return and not lose him for nothing.

Not quite sure why they'd decide to not sign Haskins. I guess they already have Ellis and Oulahen in the system but it's not clear either of them will ever be NHL players.

No way Detroit gets a second for McGrath.
The team would have to cave to his demands so he doesn't re-enter, that lowers his value dramatically, plus McGrath is no first rounder, so a team willing to sacrafice a second on him would be best served to wait until draft day. That way Evan McGrath would have to cave to the team that re-drafts him, if he has any intentions of playing pro hockey in NA as a 20 year old.
I would be happy with a 4th or 5th rounder. (although a trade is unlikely)

Haskins, hopefully they sign him, my only point there was that he might be better served returning to junior rather than playing in the ECHL.

Flyers signed Cabana. Hope one of Piselini or Cabana pan out. Nothing like a couple good ol Italian boys in Phila.

I believe this is the wording: "...the Club shall retain the exclusive right of negotiation for the services of such Player up to and including the second June 1 following the date of his selection."
