Bonafide top 4 defenseman now, they need to give him a nice long extension this offseason before he prices himself out of what we can afford.
I haven't been able to pay as close attention this season. Is this for real? Is kid really playing that well?

He's moving up the depth chart. Earlier on he was struggling but I think he's growing in confidence. He's playing more to his game than doing what he can't. Defensively he isn't the greatest but I'd say he's moved up to top 4 on this team at the moment. Meaning, behind Cernak, he's our second best RD. He makes for a solid 5/6 guy capable of playing big minutes. I'm not entirely sold he's stapled into the top 4 going forward just yet but definitely deserves to stay with the team for the near future.

Yes, he's solid. He's close to a 50-50 split dzone and ozone draws now, is plenty physical, and is almost always in the right position.

LOL at the Bergeron comparisons, that guy was a comedy of errors at times, Mr. Bean on skates, possibly the biggest double edged sword I've ever seen. A guy you could make a serious case to only ever give ozone or PP draws to. Raddysh I think is closer to a right handed Barberio or maybe Shattenkirk

He's a hell of a lot closer to Bergeron than Shattenkirk... Raddysh would be lucky to carve out a 500 game NHL career like Bergeron did then being a #2 like Shattenkirk did for years, unless we're talking about old and broken Shattenkirk who's on the ducks right now then yeah sure.

You could make a case to keep Raddysh out of our zone too, his 2 biggest weaknesses are his inability to clear the puck and losing his man.

Ok

Raddysh is a rookie....I'm making rough comparisons to snapshot versions of MAB(pp specialist) and Shattenkirk(top 4D) who played for the Lightning, not their career peaks, troughs, or averages. I compared him to Barberio too, and there is an ocean of difference between him and Shattenkirk..

The only reason MAB was in the NHL when he was here was his offensive contributions, he would give you PTSD in the defensive zone. Shattenkirk was ok defensively, but also generated very good offense to make him a key contributor.

If you are referring to how they played on the Lightning, then yeah, I don't agree with you at all. At least, you haven't been paying attention recently. Since Sergachev has gone down Raddysh has averaged about 22 minutes a game, has a positive +/-, and has been taking a majority of dzone draws. Should be obvious that without him stepping up with all of these injuries we could have had a complete collapse on the blueline. I hope they keep him away from Sergachev when he returns.

I’d like to keep Raddysh around if he keeps his current level of play.

Perbix has been better without deHaan, I’d like to get a larger sample to see where he is at.

I thought he was credited with 4 at game's end. Either I missed one or they gave him another one.

Anyway, he has some undercover offensive instincts. He's calmer under pressure than most guys at his experience level, which gives him good chemistry with Kucherov, I find. When guys pressure him he tends to be able to just hang on for a split second longer and then put the puck in Kuch's vicinity.
